Integrative Counselling
MBACP
Helen creates a safe and nourishing space, encouraging you into a place of reflection and learning that can bring healing to past pain, as well as building your sense of self-worth and value today.
My Approach to Counselling
My personal approach to counselling invites you to use creative mediums such as clay, sand tray and paint to express yourself freely. I believe that creative expression can help to open up and discover ourselves in new and exciting ways. Counselling, whether through the spoken word, or through art forms, is an opportunity to tell our stories and to find relief from the pain sometimes entangled within our stories.
As a therapist, I approach counselling in a humanistic way, which means I believe wholeheartedly in the power within you as the client and the ability you have to access your own healing and breakthrough. My role is to facilitate that healing through listening and providing a safe space.
Who do I work with?
What do I offer?
I have experience working with children, teens and adults. I am currently working in the community with adults through offering support groups, as well as supporting teens as a school counsellor locally.
My private practice is situated in Crediton, Devon, where I see individuals in my garden studio. I also have been offering walk and talk sessions as well as creatively led zoom online counselling throughout the pandemic.
I offer a free consultation of 30 minutes for you to come and spend some time with me in my counselling room, to see if you feel that creative counselling may be of help to you at this point in your life.
My usual rates are £40 per hour unless someone is on benefits or low income then I offer a reduced cost.
